Hall Of Fame
The legacy of NAGAAA is kept and passed down to future generations of softball players by way of
our organization's "Hall of Fame". During 1997, NAGAAA initiated a "Hall of Fame" to honor the
achievements (both on and off the playing field) of people and member cities in gay softball.
The purpose of the North American Gay Amateur Athletic Alliance Hall of Fame (NAGAAA Hall of
Fame) is to provide an historical perspective and perpetuate the history of gay softball and
the Gay Softball World Series. With the NAGAAA Hall of Fame legacy and the new ASANA
organization, we will be exploring the best way to integrate the two organizations for 2008.
Any 10-year member of a NAGAAA/ASANA league or association, whether living or deceased, can
be nominated for the Hall. The nominees should have made significant contributions to their
league and/or NAGAAA/ASANA. Anyone familiar with a candidate can make nominations for the Hall
at the winter meetings of NAGAAA/ASANA. The living members of the Hall of Fame and certain
at-large members vote on the nominees each year, based on the credentials presented with
the applications. The candidates who receive at least two-thirds of the votes cast are
inducted into the Hall at the awards ceremony of that year's GSWS/SWS.

Boosters
Each year, new members of the NAGAAA/ASANA Hall of Fame are presented with a polo shirt and a plaque
during the induction ceremony at that year's GSWS/SWS. The members are invited to a dinner where
other Hall of Fame members attend and welcome the new members. For the first several years, funding
for the Hall of Fame was provided by NAGAAA, but in 1999, the Hall membership decided to create a
self-sustaining Booster Club. If you would like more information on how an individual or an organization

Current Members
In 1997, NAGAAA inducted the founding fathers from New York and San Francisco. In 2001, the women's
division was eligible to begin induction was included among the inductees in a ceremony held during
the GSWS festivities. As of October 2007, there are currently 30 Women's Division NAGAAA/ASANA Hall
of Fame members, for a total of 105 Hall of Fame members. Please join us in honoring them for
significant contributions to their own leagues and to NAGAAA/ASANA as a whole.
